HOUSTON -(BUSINESS WIRE)-EC Power announces the election of Jennifer Teel as the 2005 Chair of the Texas Test Plan Team (TTPT) Working Group. Jennifer Teel, the Director of Business Solutions at EC Power, is sponsored by TriEagle Energy as a representative for Test Team and TX Set working groups. The TTPT is one of several Retail Market working groups in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). ERCOT is the state agency responsible for maintaining the integrity and reliability of the electric grid system within Texas.
Texas Test Plan team chair Jennifer Teel states, "Although 2004 was a busy year for the Texas market place with 32 new CR's entering the market and over 5000 test scripts executed, 2005 is gearing up to be another large year. With 4 scheduled test flights, including a market wide upgrade, the growth in the Texas market does not appear to be slowing down. Texas test plan team works to simulate real market scenarios to ensure that all market participants are successful in the exchange of production transactions. Through hard work and dedication our team will continue to make adjustments to the testing process in an effort to enhance the Texas market's ability to handle all information exchanges efficiently." TTPT is the working group responsible for designing the processes to certify new market participants entering the Texas Retail Market as well as developing the test procedures to test TX Set upgrades within the marketplace.
