September 2000 J.R. Hunter joins EC Power as Head of Sales & Marketing J.R. Hunter has joined EC Power as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. EC Power is a Houston-based provider of e-commerce transaction routing services for the natural gas and electric power industries. Prior to joining EC Power, Mr. Hunter served as Vice President of Sales/Western U.S. for BMC Software. In that capacity, he headed up a staff of 200 and was responsible for approximately $300 million in revenue. In addition to his experience at BMC, Mr. Hunter spent over 12 years in sales and marketing with IBM, later serving as Vice President of Sales for Decimus, a computer-leasing company owned by GE Credit Corp. EC Power is an Application Service Provider (ASP) that provides data transformation, intelligent transaction routing, and web reporting for the regulated and deregulated energy industry.
