EC Power Selected by The Houston 100 and Houston's Fast-Tech 50 for its Outstanding Growth
EC Power, the leading provider of electronic transaction management services for the energy industry, was honored Friday by The Houston Business Journal as Houston's 27th fastest growing technology company in its first annual Houston's Fast Tech 50 list.
In Addition, EC Power, for the third time since 1998, was recognized as one of the top 100 fastest growing companies in Houston by The Houston 100, a 12-year-old consortium of the Greater Houston Partnership, the Small Business Development Center at the University of Houston, and several other corporate sponsors. EC Power was selected as the 55th fastest growing company of the top 100, with 181% sales growth, for the two-year period ending December 31, 2001.
"It is such a honor for EC Power to be selected by two leading area business organizations for our business accomplishments.
Our success can be attributed not only to our cutting edge technology but also to the dedication of our people in serving our clients with excellence for the last 7 years," said JR Hunter, Chief Operating Officer of EC Power.
Houston's Fast Tech 50 selected the top 50 high-tech companies that have experienced the greatest percentage revenue growth in 2000.
EC Power has achieved a revenue growth of over 74% from 1999 to 2000.
"[In] initiating the Houston Business Journal's Fast Tech 50, the goal is to honor technology-based companies that have achieved success, as indicated by their growth in revenues during the recent past, to celebrate Houston's growing economic diversity as it becomes a center for technology, to acquaint businesses owners and managers in all industry segments with technology developments that they may be able to incorporate to benefit their companies [and] to introduce investment opportunities to those in a position to support developing technologies and fast-growing enterprises." said John Beddow, Publisher of the Houston Business Journal.
"We join with Fast Tech 50 sponsors in saluting the companies on this new list".
"To be listed along with companies such as BMC Software and Compaq Computer Corp. is such a high point for our firm," said Cade Burks, EC Power's Founder and Chief Technology Officer.
"EC Power's extensive experience managing a large transaction hub has given us rich technical skills in handling electronic Internet transactions for a variety of energy client functions.
This breadth and depth of experience is unusual for providers in our space, and has contributed to our success".
